3 Essential Oils for Lungs, Chest & Head

Basic Uses of Essential Oils

Direct Inhalation:

Put a few drops on a tissue and inhale repeatedly until desired effect is achieved.

Steam inhalation:

Drop 2-4 drops of essential oil into basin or bowl of hot water with a thick towel over your head- great for sinus and ear congestion!

Diffusor:

Drop 5-10 drops into water of a diffusor with a heat source.

Bath:

Add 3-8 drops to a warm bath. Swish water vigorously before entering. For a foot bath soak feet for 10 minutes.

Massage:

Always dilute essential oils in a carrier oil when applying topically. I like sesame or coconut oil. Use 20 drops per 1 oz of fatty carrier oil ( a 3% dilution) A lotion or cream may also be used. Massage into affected area (chest, temples, forehead, nape, muscles) The same dilution may be used for whole body massage.
